Our volunteer programs promote unity and goodwill by combining social responsibility, community immersion, and cultural exchange. Our community service adventures are created to spend time in direct contact with indigenous communities or local people in projects that range from teaching English, painting villages, repairing community schools, caring for orphans, or ecology based projects such as trail building, reforestation, eradication of invasive species or caring after the giant Galapagos tortoise. In coordination with your institution these activities may provide community service credit hours.

Our leadership programs are centered on wilderness living. These wilderness trips are often the most rewarding because of they reach the most pristine areas of Ecuador. Activities include trip planning, navigation, wildlife viewing, cooking, leave-no-trace camping and group management. While these programs are challenging our highly experienced guides and tour leaders provide a fun, non-competitive environment. Students will gain the self-confidence and ability to function in these diverse environments and develop a desire to return to the wilderness throughout the rest of their life.

Study programs allow for class curricula and special focus lectures to be integrated as part of your adventure program. Subject themes when combined with meaningful cultural and nature activities allow for passionate and relevant learning.
Ecuador is a natural laboratory for many subjects including biology, oceanography, anthropology, birding, ecotourism, photography, political risk and others.

Explore pristine wilderness while interacting with ethnic groups by participating in native practices and helping a village perform its daily tasks. Live with indigenous people, visit villages, and exchange stories with people of different backgrounds. Gain new perspectives and learn about a world outside your own by becoming part of a new culture. One-on-one interactions with local inhabitants improve language fluency, and can make friendships that last a lifetime.
